I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations to all the companies, plants and factories receiving an award.
TPM Excellent Awards have recognized more than 3,400 workplaces since the awards were established in 1964. Many companies from all over the world have been awarded this year. The annual awards ceremony is held in Japan, where the TPM Awards originated.
The venue for the awards ceremony is in Kyoto, which as you may know is where some of the oldest buildings in Japan can still be found. At the same time, new culture and technologies can also be seen in the city, making Kyoto a very popular city among visitors from overseas.
With a history stretching back close to 50 years, TPM has been constantly upgraded in step with changes in industry. This year’s award recipients are, without doubt, at the cutting edge of these advances.
The ceremony will gather all award winners in the one place. New relationships are bound to be formed, so I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the ceremony.
